About Robbin L Marcus
Robbin L Marcus lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is
From 2006 - 2024, Robbin served as an adjunct professor teaching Kodaly Certification at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, where she is the Mason Community Arts Academy Summer Kodaly Program Founding Director. She has conducted numerous workshops at the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE) national conferences, as well as for local Kodaly and Orff chapters in 9 states. Robbin served as the head of the National OAKE Training Teachers of Materials Committee and has served multiple terms on the OAKE board. She previously spent 25 years as the lower school music specialist for St. Paul's School in Baltimore, MD. She served on faculties of Webster University, the American Kodaly Institute and the Children's Chorus of Maryland.
A well-known traditional dance leader, Robbin is an advocate for accurate performance styles in the music classroom. She led contra dances both in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic for over 30 years. Robbin's latest passion is playing piano for dances with the Contra/English Country dance band Reelplay. Robbin served on the National Board of the Country Dance and Song Society from 2019-2025, where she chaired the Educators Task Group and was responsible for the production of the Dance It Yourself video series.
Presently, Robbin teaches private sessions of Alexander Technique and piano for both children and adults in Decatur, GA. Robbin is also certified as a Usui Reiki Master.
